I Cee Technology is a workshop organised by Career Development Network (CDNet), an Ikoyi-based non-profit concern offering career solutions services to the teeming population of Nigerian youth and career explorers. With the workshop, CDNet aims to offer youths who are seeking career options in the ICT industry hands-on training and internship opportunities.
With that in mind, TRW Consult was engaged to create awareness about the programme online as well as drive traffic to the registration page where interested candidates can make good their aspiration.
We executed this Campaign with trademark mien via the social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube). We also ran targeted online adverts on popular new sites and blogs.
At the end of the campaign, our Twitter leg of the campaign polled a total 2,450,901 impressions from 685 tweets that we generated in concert with the 22 Twitter Influencers we engaged to give the hashtag the required buzz.
Similarly, the Facebook adverts we launched were seen 1,841,629 times (impressions) by 350,647 Facebook users, resulting in 4,678 clicks. While at it, we also promoted the Facebook page of CDNet, shooting up the population of its following from some around 1,000 to above 3,600 followers. That is more than 200% return.
The YouTube advert we put up for this campaign also generated 1,496 impressions.
Finally, we ran online adverts strictly targeted at Nigerian youths within the 18-28 age bracket, reaching them through the computer, mobile devices and tablets. These adverts featured on 13 profiled news sites, forums and blogs. At the end of the campaign, we recorded 1,407,452 impressions and 924 clicks.
The interesting thing about this campaign is that it lasted just 3 weeks and was run on a shoestring budget!
